I grew up between Vienna and Beirut and completed my first year of studies at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon in 2014. In 2021, I received my diploma in Documentary Film Directing from the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, Germany.

My first feature-length documentary, Kash Kash, had its world premiere at CPH:DOX in Copenhagen. It won the NEXT Award for best debut film, the First Steps Award for best newcomer documentary in Germany, the Golden Frog at Camerimage, and the SWR German Documentary Award.

In 2024, I participated in the ‘Berlinale Talentsprogram & I am currently a member of The Good Media Network’ team in Berlin, where I contribute to organizing the ‘Dokumentale’ Festival.

I was a jury member for the SWR German Documentary Award in 2024 and am currently a Programmer for the Achtung Berlin Film Festival.

The animated documentary Ship of Fools, co-written with Alia Haju, premiered at the BlackStar Film Festival in 2024 and received the Special Jury Prize in the Lab Competition at the 2025 Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival.
